We are looking for a hands-on UAV Assembly Technician to support the assembly and integration of unmanned aerial systems.

Key Responsibilities 

• Build UAV airframes and integrate mechanical, composite, electronic, and mechatronic components from drawings and technical documentation to finished, signed-off assembly. 

• Perform composite and mechanical assembly, including lamination, vacuum bagging, curing, bonding, drilling, reaming, deburring, tapping, riveting, and fastening. 

• Perform electronic assembly and integration, including soldering, PCB preparation, wiring, harnesses, servo mounting, and other aircraft components. 

• Support UAV and mechatronic system integration and testing, including electronic, powerplant, and structural testing. 

• Work from 2D drawings and bills of materials, building to the current revision. 

• Make and maintain jigs, fixtures, and moulds. 

• Complete build records, including serial numbers, component and adhesive batches, torque records, and deviations. 

• Identify and report non-conformities when something is not right. 

• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and traceability. 
• Work closely with the team in a complex, fast-paced environment with evolving technology challenges.  

Requirements

• MBO level 2–3 in mechanical, electronics, mechatronics, construction, production, or a related discipline, or demonstrably equivalent practical experience. 

• 3 years minimum experience in similar tasks. 

• Fluent English is a must. 

• Drone A1/A2/A3 EASA license is a plus. 

Skills & Abilities Required 

• Drone/RC background and experience. 

• Fine and accurate hand-working skills. 

• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: 

• Composite assembly and manufacturing, including wet lay-up or prepreg, vacuum bagging, and curing. 
• Metal fitting and mechanical assembly, including drilling and reaming to tolerance, deburring, threading, inserts, riveting, and torquing. 
• Electronics assembly, soldering, PCB preparation, wiring, and harness assembly. 
• Mechatronic assembly and integration. 
• Structural bonding experience, including surface preparation, mixing by weight, and working within pot life and cure schedules. 
• Experience reading technical drawings and BOMs; comfortable using tools such as calipers and micrometers. 
• Quality control: build sheets, batch numbers, deviations, and traceability. 

• Ownership of tasks, teamwork, and agility are a must. 

• Comfortable navigating complex, fast-paced environments with evolving technology challenges. 

• FPV & RC piloting abilities are a plus. 

• IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, or J-STD-001 certificates are a plus.
